1. Big Poom/Dan : the changed certificate is issued by a laser beam printer. 2. Small Poom/Dan : the changed certificate is issued with a plastic card.
We receive the application by either post mail or online.
1. Mail - Please send application forms with registration fee
a. Fill out the application form. It is based on the attached new style application form, which is on the Kukkiwon homepage. You must fill out in type using a typewriter or a computer in English capital letters.
b. The payment has to be made by a check/money order or on-line account remittance to the account. The account number is informed below at No 2 / b.
2. Online - Please fill out the application form over the Internet and make a payment by on-line account remittance.
a. Fill out of the application form. You must follow the online application procedure attached below.
* 1, 2, 3 Poom holder, being 15 years of age or above, can have the Dan Certificates when they want to change their Poom certificates. (4th Poom holder, being 18 years of age or above, can change the 4th Dan certificate)
b. Payment by online account remittance. Bank name : Korean exchange Bank kangnam station branch. Account name : Kukkiwon Account number : 057-13-17131-1 SWIFT Cord : KOEXKRSE
* Once the online payment is completed for the register fee, you must send the receipt to the International Department of Kukkiwon by fax or e-mail.
1. Please type English alphabet letters in the application form for Poom/Dan promotion recommendation. Hand writing may cause to issue the certificate with the recipient???s wrong information.
2. Please spell out the month to put the date of birth. We prefer Jan. 02, 2005 or 02 Jan. 2005. Otherwise, we have difficulty to distinguish the exact date. (Example, 2/1/2005 or 1/2/2005)
3. Please provide your current Tel/ Fax number and E-mail address on the application so that we can contact you immediately in case of any problem.
4. Please type the name of the recommending instructor and his/her Dan certificate number in the right corner of the form.
5. The applicant of 6th Dan or higher Dan has to summit his or her own writing thesis along with an application. The thesis requires ten or more pages with A-4 size paper.
6. In order to prove that the none-nationality applicant has been living more than six months in the country, a document has to be submitted such as a copy of school letter, driver???s license, or green-card etc. We do not admit a copy of passport only.
7. If you want to change or correct your name or date of birth, send the original Dan certificate with a memo which explains what you want. We try to do our best services for your satisfaction. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation..
